just being proactive
It is so easy to misjudge people that take time off and “drop out” to borrow a Learyesqe term. So what? I took 15 years off. I can tell you exactly which wits have been dulled and in many ways I didn’t care if they were or not.
It is no big secret that I have led a pretty solitary and somewhat ridiculed existence since around 2001 in Minneapolis. There are a lot of ways to live. When you have an undergrad in Philosophy, what the hell else makes sense? Mainstream yourself into a hipster that drops ref to people that I used to drop ref to before they did?
“Your problem Matt, is that you never had kids. You would have understood a thing or two about pace and familial communication.” I guess I would have to agree with you on that. I concerned myself with completely different things like abstractions that had no root in reality. The abstractions haven’t changed and generation after generation there are others that think they are spending their time wisely studying them. Just think for a second how many people graduated with degrees in philosophy from 4 year colleges all across the US in 2018. Would you believe me if I told you that the only reason that they actually declared a major like that is because they didn’t understand peer competition or competition in general?
When you are 19-22 there is still time to turn your life around. You can focus on what exactly will be of value whether or not anyone tries to tell you differently. You can run stats. You can see what the job market needs. I am not really addressing those that always intended to go mainstream and just wanted a BA to tuck under his/her belt like a milestone. I am addressing the people that genuinely thought there is value in studying the questioning of value.

What is the deal with my site?
I know it is all over the place. The menus, the graphics, the text, the domain, it is all over the place. That has never really bothered me because I never wanted to use it for anything more than a sandbox. I never wanted to make money off of it. But, as one gets older, one begins to see the world in different lights. I would have to say my base level Geckoesque greed is bubbling to the top. I would like to make some money now so I may centralize. Or, I may scrap the whole thing.
But, it really doesn’t matter what I do in the mean time. Because when it sits up here as a sandbox, I will be testing the best ways to improve it. Yes, I do not have https yet but that is not such a big deal to me because I know all of what is involved. Cart functionality is always there but no products, which is ok for me too. I am running the most recent versions of Woocommerce and WordPress. The main thing that interests me at this point is being able to post from WordPress to Twitter and Facebook while having the post maintain its appearance exactly how I drew it up. This still eludes me and it really shouldn’t. It bothers me almost to the point where I may get into how to make sure of it technically by writing something myself. But, I doubt it.
As far as hosting goes, the average WooCommerce startup would probably prefer to be a subscriber to WordPress.com rather than to host their own installation. I can understand this. Wix.com, WordPress.com, Weebly.com, Bigcommerce.com, Squarespace.com, and Shopify.com all do roughly the same things. Why worry about administration of a server when that can get taken care of by others? Just worry about the products, posts, and content. I tend to agree that one should not worry about administration. It is the planning of the business that is of primary importance and often the CRM system.
Ready Player One review
I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. Actually, it really made me pretty emotional. I almost cried or full-on cried. But to explain why it would take a while. I am making this entry using voice, so there may be parts that sound conversational and may need some editing.
I really don’t want to cover the movie’s content. There are numerous angles from which to come at it. I would rather cover the historical significance. There is one thing related to the content that I would like to point out that some people may skip over and it has to do with me(typo, should be “the”) continuous recording of one person’s life in the movie. As expected it’s not a normal science fiction movie because it actually redefines the future of humanity. In my opinion the average science fiction movie doesn’t really redefine humanity’s future, it just highlights a certain technology and sells tickets based on how interesting it is. Of course it is a possible future and of course many things have to happen before the date of the setting to make this dystopian future a reality. But, those aren’t such big concerns. The average American probably thinks that VR gaming is an option but that movie in some ways presupposes its eventual dominance.
I’ve always thought that a movie like this one is far better to watch repetitively rather read any kind of review like the kind I am writing. There are concepts in this movie that involved virtual storage, virtual object generation and communication that can be better expressed with a less verbose means. In other words, just viewing the interface that’s envisioned is all that is necessary to fully grasp what the filmmakers are after. And more linguistic hand-holding is going too far the only response you can give is just say watch it again.
(4/12/18 I actually don’t mind this review in terms of flow. I spoke it in a Starbuck’s just after the movie. I only want to change one word and it’s a typo, I will put “typo” in parentheses next to it. I could have added a few more commas but hey, it’s voice in 2018. Incidentally, I went by Boosted Board to a matinee showing.)
this was an interesting time and an interesting book

robinhood account status
I hit $53 up and still didn’t sell as I mentioned. It is now a full year anniversary. I could have pulled 10% for the year many times but I have chosen to take a back seat on this account. I sold all the shares of one of the two stocks and bought a different one with the remaining funds. Both are probably considered risky by most standards but there is an upside to their risk.
Notice at the bottom of the screen, the word “Cryptocurrencies” is there. Yes, RobinHood recently began a promotion to offer Cryptocurrency trading sign-up. It is a beta promotion and there seem to be a limited number of spots open. I landed at about 150,000 and last time I checked it was well over 1,000,000 signups.
